Nexpro Trucks & Equipment Corp. (Miami Lakes, Florida) announced its Colossus trucks are revolutionizing the way first responders operate in different industries and applications, by giving them power, flexibility and speed when it comes to solving challenges such as main pipe bursts for water and sewer departments, or repairs in record time for public works departments. Creativity and engineering have allowed Nexpro trucks to become a highly efficient alternative to service truck fleets in utility companies.

In both the Colossus Model XL and Colossus Model ST, the power is centralized in a hydraulic circuit engaged with the truck’s engine. The energized circuit powers the hydraulic arm with its wide variety of attachments and full range of specialized hydraulic tools. Model XL, with a 33,000-pound GVWR, also has a hydraulic lift which raises and lowers the Colossus Auxiliary, a versatile mini skid-steer that complements the truck’s capacities by helping in other tasks, and that additionally doubles as an independent and portable hydraulic power unit for tools and attachments. This auxiliary unit has a small footprint but is powerful and maneuverable. Model ST, with a 26,000-pound GVWR, is a smaller, lighter version of the Colossus but with equally excellent power and performance.
